7 Nights/8 Days or 13 Nights/14 Days
At
the beginning of each year when the Kalahari
Desert is looking it's best, we schedule this
very special Safari. After the first rains,
the Kalahari blooms and herds of antelope and
wildebeest congregate in the fossil river valleys
and vegetated pans where the grass is the sweetest.
The Central Kalahari Desert is one of Africa's
largest Reserves with huge open spaces and endless
horizons. After spending time exploring the
Desert, we visit the Okavango Delta which is
unique in many ways too. Firstly you will have
the opportunity to see if from the air when
we fly over it on a scenic flight from Maun,
then from your game drive vehicle and from a
boat, when we spend the day cruising it's channels
and lagoons.

RIVERS-
PAST & PRESENT
13 Nights/ 14 Days
| This
Safari introduces you to four unique geographical
features and the birds, animals and plants associated
with each. It also allows you to walk, do night
drives, boat or mekoro excursions and gamedrives.
Deception
Valley is an ancient fossil river in the Kalahari
where desert animals and birds congregate during
the wet season.
Khwai River is the furthest, eastern finger of
the Okavango Delta with a constantly changing
end, as flood waters come and go. Known for it's
Raptors, the plains on either side are frequented
by herds of game using this essential water source.
The Savuti Channel has flowed and dried up three
times in the last 175 years, leaving vast grasslands
which are famous for their zebra migration and
the big cats, at this time of year.
The Okavango Delta is a major river system which
allows water, collected in the Angolan Highlands,
to fan out across the Kalahari transforming it
into a paradise for wildlife.

SALT PANS AND THE WATERWAYS.
10 Nights/ 11 Days
| This
Safari shows you the great contrast between the
Kalahari Desert which receives the Okavango flood
waters and an area that does not. In Nxai Pan National
Park you will see harsh white salt pans and vegetated
pans where desert game live. Species such as Oryx,
Springbok, Bat-eared Fox, Kalahari Lion and Cheetah,
roam these ancient pans and drink at the waterhole.
Moremi Game Reserve reveals Papyrus lined Channels,
Lagoons and Riverine forests.Aquatic animals and
water birds abound as well as herds of plains game
and predators. There are also 2 cultural elements
on this safari, time spent in Maun reveals a modern
urban environment and later a visit to the Khwai
Village which has retained most of it's traditional
rural charm. |
DISCOVER NORTHERN BOTSWANA.
10 Nights/11 Days
| This
short and affordable Safari is a great introduction
to Northern Botswana and the very best, that it
has to offer. It shows you the Chobe River and adjacent
Chobe National Park, which is famed for it's vast
herds of buffalo and elephant and is known for it's
healthy lion population. Our time spent at Savuti
shows you the Kalahari Desert with dryland species
of plants, animals and birds. The Khwai River is
renown for it's raptors and plains game and here
we do night drives, looking for leopard, serval
and bushbabies, amongst other nocturnal species.
The Okavango Delta provide another wonderful contrast,
with riverine forest, water channels and lagoons.
Red Lechwe, Kudu, Giraffe, Tsessebe abound and Cheetah
and Wilddog are found here too. |
The
Safaris which start in Kasane are the reserve
order of the above. An extension to see the Victoria
falls can easily be added on, either as a day-trip
or for longer.
